Neil Jolly Claims the 54th Southern Junior Championship Title

ATHENS, GA (June 19, 2026) – Final Round results of the 54th Southern Junior Championship of the Southern Golf Association hosted by University Golf Course in Athens, GA on Friday, June 19, 2026.

Returning Friday morning to complete Thursday’s round, Neil Jolly of India posted a Second and Final Round score of one-under 69 to secure the 54th Southern Junior Championship title. Jolly’s round, which included two birdies, sent him to a 36-hole score of nine-under 131 to solidify his victory. 

When asked about the victory here at University Golf Course, Jolly spoke with excitement, “It means the world to win this event. Getting into the Southern Am has been a goal of mine for two years now, and to have accomplished that is a great feat for me.”

Charlie Haney of Manhattan, Kansas & Sam Terry of Thomasville, North Carolina ended the tournament tied for second finishing with a 36-hole score of seven-under 133. After a scorecard playoff, Charlie Haney won to take home silver. 

The winner of the Southern Junior Championship receives a silver medal; his name engraved on the Perry Adair Trophy; a Calamity Jane putter; exemption into the 2027 Southern Amateur Championship; exemption into all future Southern Junior Championships in which he is eligible to compete; and is fully Exempt with AJGA through 2027 if eligible to compete.
